Partially prompted by a friend’s remark, I’ve made this blog to share “where I’ve been” the last five years and where I am now. My friend had said that I move around a lot for being such a serious nester. However, I don’t think these qualities are incongruous because I live in my books no matter where I touch ground.
2019 Update: Nearly ten years later, I update this site less frequently. I make pictures and books with less frequency, too. This year, that is going to change. I am seeking more time and space to push colors around and make things with my hands. This Fall, I will be participating in an art residency in Japan. Stay tuned for another site sharing details of this experience, which will emphasize color woodblock printing (moku hanga), as well as drawing and painting throughout the process.
I am so glad to see you doing this. Will visit often.
Did you really do all those drawings??? I am impressed! I didn’t recognize the British Isles drawings. . . are there any?
No, Ma, I traced them…! The two “peach” books were in the Isles.
This is lovely, amazing stuff, Amy. Glad you are posting your work.
